• Summer 2019

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you enjoying the first official days of summer! I hope that the rainy weather will remain at bay and we will have many sunny days ahead.

The past few weeks have been bursting with activity at Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools, culminating this week with five wonderful moving up and graduation ceremonies. Yesterday, we celebrated our fifth grade graduates from Hewlett and Ogden. Today, our Franklin first graders and Woodmere Middle School eighth graders took center stage at their graduations. We wrap up this fantastic week of celebrations on Thursday evening when the seniors from Hewlett High School take the stage at the Tilles Center.

In addition to celebrating the success and milestones of all students involved, our graduations signify the conclusion of the wonderful 2018-2019 school year.  Thank you to our caring and dedicated faculty and staff for helping ALL of our students to reach their true potential!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents and community members for sharing in our school activities, District events, meetings, and celebrations. Your continued support of Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools is truly appreciated. We are so lucky to live in such a caring and involved community!

We look forward to seeing many of our community’s children at our wonderful summer programs throughout July and August. Over the summer, we will be hard at work preparing all of our buildings for the students’ return in September. We will also be interviewing candidates to ensure that we find the most exceptional professionals to fill our staff vacancies.

Please remember to watch our Website in August for the District calendar that will list all of our important dates for the 2019-2020 school year.

Have a wonderful and relaxing summer filled with good books and good times with family and friends. I look forward to seeing you again in September.

    Warm regards,

    Ralph Marino, Jr., Ed.D.
