The Influence of Various Toxins on Field Corn Growth

Students in Mr. Layh’s class used the greenhouse to conduct growth experiments for their eighth grade science fair projects.  This long-term initiative involved using the scientific method to investigate how various toxins influence the growth of field corn.  Students had the opportunity to design their own experiments, plant seeds, transplant seedlings, apply toxins, measure growth, analyze data, formulate conclusions, and ultimately display their work on tri-fold boards for the science fair
