The Influence of Seed Depth on Sunflower Stem Height
Eighth grade students used the greenhouse to explore the scientific method. The experiment investigated how the depth at which you plant a sunflower seed may influence its stem height. Students had the opportunity to plant seeds in conetainers at varying depths using a dibbler. Using the scientific method, students generated hypotheses, collected and analyzed data, and formulated conclusions based on their work.
