Microwaved Radishes
Seventh grade students refined their knowledge of scientific exploration by conducting an experiment on the influence of microwave radiation on the germination of radish seeds. Students demonstrated their knowledge of experimental design by creating hypotheses, developing experiments with control groups and experimental consistency, and by accurately and meticulously collecting data from multiple trials. The students turned the data into graphs, performed data analysis, and wrote their conclusions. After the conclusions were written the students explored other experiments that could be conducted related to radish germination.
