Hydroponics

Hydroponics is the growing of plants in an aqueous environment.  The external supply of necessary nutrients is regulated and monitored within the aqueous loop environment.

The OEC “Dutch Bucket” system includes 10 separate growing environments which greatly increasing the flexibility of the design.  Possible teaching topics include but are not limited to: hydroponics; water chemistry; nutrient cycling; sustainability; and systems thinking.
