Planting Seeds at Different Depths

Student in eight grade science classes explored the influence of planting seeds at varying depths.  The students had the opportunity to visit the greenhouse at the OEC and use specially designed “conetainers” to plant corn seeds at several depths.  The student returned every week for a month to collect and analyze data on germination rates, growth patterns and general plant health.
