Dear Franklin Families,
It is hard to believe this school year is over. It seemed like just yesterday we were celebrating a new school year with our Family and Friends Picnic and welcoming our new Pre-K students. We continued to grow while also building upon our traditions and creating a climate where every child is successful.
I would like to take this opportunity to say well done to all of our students. They have worked very hard throughout the year. They have tried to do their best at all times and have impressed teachers and parents alike with their efforts and achievements. We celebrate the many wonderful learning experiences and educational opportunities that have taken place for our students at Franklin. Together we have planned, executed the best teaching practices and held students to high standards and expectations. Franklin’s unique character, excellence in teaching, and the tremendous dedication and talent of our staff continues to make it a wonderful and special learning environment. We are all very proud of them and look forward to even greater accomplishments next year.
Thank you to our parents and families for your support throughout the year. We are blessed with a caring and supportive community that enables us to realize the educational goals we have for your children. We really appreciate such a positive partnership between home and school.
Thank you to our wonderful teachers for the stimulating programs you have presented to our children and for the individual care you have taken with each child in your class.
Summer is a very special time for children and is the source of many happy memories. I hope that you and your children enjoy many opportunities to have fun as a family in the weeks ahead. Please continue to encourage your child to put forth their best effort each and every day. I look forward to seeing your children in September.
Lastly, I would like to wish our first graders the best of luck. I know they will represent Franklin Early Childhood Center very well at Hewlett or Ogden Elementary. We will all miss their energy, spirit, and dynamism.
Sincerely,
Lorraine Smyth, Ed.D.
