COMMITTEE ON PRESCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION
The Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) is responsible for making recommendations to the Board of Education as to how to best meet the educational needs of preschool students with disabilities. Any parent who believes his or her child is in need of special educational services due to a disability may request an evaluation by the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE). If you have any questions regarding Preschool Special Education, please contact Dr. Richard Lopez, School Psychologist, CPSE Chairperson, at 792-4640.
PARENT CPSE RESOURCE
The Long Island Early Childhood Direction Center (LI ECDC) provides free and confidential information and referrals to families regarding services for young children, birth to five years of age, who have diagnosed or suspected special needs and reside in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
