Welcome to the Department of World Languages!  

In our increasingly interconnected world, the ability to communicate across cultures is more essential than ever. The World Languages Department is dedicated to fostering linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness among our students. Learning a world language not only enhances cognitive skills and academic performance but also prepares students to thrive in a global society.

Through our comprehensive curriculum, students will engage in immersive language experiences that promote fluency and cultural competence. We believe that every student should have the opportunity to learn a world language, empowering them to become global citizens who can navigate and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

Hewlett-Woodmere students can participate in course sequences that include Chinese, French, Italian, and Spanish.
