Sunflowers for Earth Day
This is the second year of a sixth grade Earth Day initiative to plant a sunflower garden in the OEC. To celebrate Earth Day the students planted sunflower seedlings in the OEC that will provide seeds for birds, habitat for butterflies and beauty for the staff during the summer months. The seedlings are doing well and should flower in late spring and throughout the summer.
