Drainage and Grass Growth
Eighth grade students in Mr. Donath and Mr. Perlow’s classes used 3D printed test pots to explore the influence of soil drainage on grass growth. Three different 3D printed pots were used. Each pot was designed to allow a different water drainage rate through the soil. Students planted seeds, made prediction, took measurements, made graphs and ultimately developed conclusions about the importance of water drainage though soil being used to grow grass.
