Angle of Insolation and Corn GrowthEarth Science students had the opportunity to investigate the influence that angle of insolation has on the germination and growth of field corn. While visiting the greenhouse at the OEC students observed and utilized an experimental setup designed to mimic the varying concentrations of light that may be experienced at different latitudes on Earth. Students had the opportunity to plant seeds, measure temperature differences, calculate germination rates and observe differences in growth.
