Corn Growth and Household PollutantsSeveral science fair experiments are being conducted on the influence that common household materials (i.e. soap, gatorade, and vinegar) have on the growth of field corn. Students in Mr. Layh's class have been working in the greenhouse for over a month on this exciting project. The students have germinated the seeds, transplanted the seedlings, determined which household materials may influence growth, and applied their "toxins." The class have been busy measuring and collecting observational data that will be used for their science fair projects. Please enjoy the following selection of photos documenting their work.
