    April 13, 2020

Dear Members of the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools Community,

Good morning! I hope you have all had an opportunity to relax, celebrate, and make memories with your families throughout the past four days! I also hope you enjoyed writing letters and thanking our first responders! We owe them all so much gratitude for their herculean efforts to keep us safe.

Today, we embark on our tour of the great state of New York as a community! Throughout this week, we will visit many of the wonderful landmarks, museums, and attractions our state has to offer.  As New Yorkers, we are united in the fight against COVID-19, and I cannot think of a better time to honor our extraordinary state!

I hope you enjoy your virtual visits as a family. I already made my stop at the spectacular Niagara Falls this morning. I know you will all be amazed at its splendor and beauty!

I wish you all safe “travels” this week! Don’t forget to take some notes on your favorite locations so you can discuss them with your teachers and principals during the week of April 20.

I am sure you join me in looking forward to the day when the virtual can become a reality. Be well.

    Warm regards,

    Ralph Marino, Jr., Ed.D.

    Superintendent
