Teachers throughout the District have established a method of digital communication earlier this year. We have asked our teachers to continue to utilize their established method of communication during this extended closure. Outlined below are the platforms that are utilized in the District with a brief explanation of what they are used for and how you can access resources to assist you in using them.
Infinite Campus is the District's Student Information System. This is where parents can access grades and information about how the teacher will communicate with students. Some of our teachers will be using the Message Center in Infinite Campus to keep in touch with parents and students via email.
Seesaw is an online learning journal for students that is used in some of our elementary classes. Seesaw allows for communication between teachers, parents and students. Teachers can assign activities, students can share their work, and announcements can be posted.
Google Classroom is a work flow platform utilized by our teachers for communication with students, assignments, and sharing instructional materials. This platform has a parent digest email feature.
Schoology is a learning management systems utilized by some of our teachers who use both Office 365 apps and Google apps for Education. This platform features parent accounts which allow parents to see posts, assignments, resources and more.
We provide various tools for our teachers so that they can select the platform that best meets their instructional needs.
