Posted by Jennifer Thompson on 11/1/2019The Mexican holiday, also known as Day of the Dead, extends over the first two days of November and has nothing to do with Halloween. It's an ode to the afterlife and a reminder that death is nothing to be afraid of.

Señora Thompson
Posted by Jennifer Thompson on 9/4/2019Welcome to Spanish 1A. This is a beginning course in Spanish language and culture. It is the first half of the level one high school Spanish course. We will develop the four basic skills: speaking, aural comprehension, reading, and writing through the three modes of communication (Interpretive, Interpersonal and Presentational) created by the American Council of Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). The course objectives are aligned with the NYS Standards in LOTE as well as ACTFL standards.
