    Dear Franklin Families,

Same, Same but Different, by Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw is a book about two pen pals, Elliot and Kailash.  Elliot lives in America and Kailash lives in India.

By exchanging pictures and letters, they learn that they both love to climb trees, go to school, and have pets.  Kailash and his family live in a village with a river running through it and the streets are filled with traffic, but not the same kind of traffic, like the city Elliot lives in.  They both are excited to find out that they travel to school in a bus, just a different kind of bus.

Being pen pals brought these two boys together, even though they live worlds apart.

    Happy Reading,
