The Office of Curriculum and Instruction is dedicated to providing outstanding teaching and learning opportunities in the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools. We understand that teamwork is a crucial ingredient in ensuring that our students receive the highest quality learning experiences while addressing their individual needs. We are dedicated to cultivating the whole child through experiences that support depth and breadth in the 4 A's - Academics, Arts, Athletics and Activities. We believe that New York State test data represent only one indicator of a child's academic achievement. Teacher-created assessments and feedback are crucial in informing instruction and are interconnected in the curriculum, instruction and professional development system.
